STONY DEAN SCHOOL, AMERSHAM

At Stoney Dean School the new classroom block was desiged to provide modern well-lit teaching spaces including a music / drama and flexible break-out spaces which run along the undulating corridor. The design also incorporates covered walkways linking the new block with the existing school and courtyards providing usable outdoor teaching spaces.

The classrooms are well insulated to enable a stable internal temperature throughout the year. The design also includes a mechanical heat recovery system, which allows ventilation in winter without losing heat.

This new build project  was completed for Buckinghamshire County Council in 2013. Eleanor was lead architect for the project whilst working at ADP.
